Both the building exterior design concepts and the interior layouts are now available to view, and they are also downloadable from the council's dedicated web page (see link on the right).

The council is planning to open 'a new, modern, flexible and welcoming library' in the heart of the city centre, replacing the current library on North Hill, making way for the History Centre due to open in 2020.

Work is expected to begin on the new library in late summer this year.
