The new Dales Centre on Sneinton Dale brings modern library facilities and the neighbourhood police team under one roof.

The open plan building replaces the old Bakersfield and Sneinton libraries with a more modern and adaptable facility as part of a City Council programme to provide fewer, better libraries which meet the needs and expectations of today’s library users. It will provide improved computer access and equipment, including free wi-fi.

There is a dedicated under fives children’s area and the library offers opportunities for a greater range of activities and events for all ages.

Thedesignconcept designed and installed the new library within the centre, supplying high quality shelving and furniture to give the library a modern and welcoming feel for people of all ages.

The children’s area is filled with exciting colours and graphics to inspire the younger visitors to stay, and leave a lasting impression to encourage return visits.

Throughout the library, Cocoon modular furniture creates a modern look, breaks up shelving runs and provides extra seating for readers.
