The best of Australian library design

The 33 new and refurbished libraries are from across Australia, from Perth to Sydney. The nominations include inspirational and achievable examples of modern exteriors and interiors for school, public, academic and special libraries.

Each library has its own profile, offering a rare opportunity to review in some depth how library design is changing the way libraries work with their diverse communities.

The shortlist will be announced in May, and the winners at the ALIA Library Design Conference at Library at the Dock, Melbourne, on Monday 19 June.
