Aberdeen hub gets go-ahead
Aberdeen City Council has agreed to put out to tender the £6m regeneration project to create a new library and service hub.

The state-of-the-art facility will be on the site of the Tillydrone Shopping Centre on Hayton Road, in Aberdeen.
The hub will bring together a range of services currently provided in the area, including council services for housing tenants, community support and priority families outreach.
It is to include a new library, cafe, creche and activity hall.
Members of the finance, policy and resources committee also unanimously approved £4.1 million for the project, with additional grant funding of £1.9m coming from the Scottish Government’s Regeneration Capital Grant Fund.
