Despite the pandemic, the International School of Prague used the 2020 summer to make improvements to its campus, including the Learning Innovation Hub.

The International School of Prague is the oldest and largest International school in the Czech Republic with around 900 students representing more than 60 nationalities.

The large space, with its high ceilings and full height windows to one side was to undergo a full makeover, with high specification furniture and prestige finishes. The space needed to be suitable for use by students of all ages, ranging from 3 to 18 years old, whilst offering maximum versatility and flexibility for the space to be used for alternative purposes such as presentations, meetings or events.

Travel and access restrictions presented a logistical challenge for FG and its on the ground project partners, yet, working at a distance, the installation was completed on time and snag free.

Not only did the shelving meet the original brief, for adaptability and versatility, it also contained future proofing features to meet ever changing learning methods: true mobility with castors allowing reconfigurations to quickly change the Hub space; angled columns to creatively join shelving units, establishing multi-use zones; a 3 way positioning system, to allow books to be displayed in 3 different positions.
