Greener Heating Grants

The scheme is designed to help upgrade heating systems in public buildings, and to promote the use of cleaner, cheaper and renewable energy. The aim is to reduce the use of fossil fuels whilst cutting the costs of keeping public buildings comfortably warm.

Phase 3b funding of up to £635m will be allocated to public sector organisations by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy via  a non-departmental public body owned by Government.

Applications will be assessed in the order in which they are received and funding for eligible projects - to be completed by 2024-2025 - will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
