Welcoming, inclusive and now a destination for the Ballymoney community with especially inviting spaces for children, teens and adults!

As visitors approach the library, they will immediately notice the modern and inviting look of the entrance. The addition of new automated doors, external paving, and beautiful planting adds a touch of elegance to the exterior.

Inside, the library has undergone a remarkable transformation. Extensive redecoration, including new floor coverings, a reception desk, and modern library furniture, has created a space that is both inviting and functional. Furthermore, the upper mezzanine level is now open to customers, providing a serene area for reading or studying.

The refurbishment of Ballymoney Library goes beyond aesthetics with:

• Energy-efficient heating and ventilation and energy-efficient LED lighting, demonstrating commitment to sustainability.
• A new roof, thermal insulation and triple-glazed windows and doors enhance comfort and efficiency.
• Accessibility has also been a key consideration, with the addition of a passenger lift.

The town is home to a windmill originally built around 1750 which has been recently restored, we created a feature in the children’s area which reflects the history and character surrounding this.

A tall structure which would be open at the bottom to create a fun yet functional den/reading nook.

Ballymoney Library is now a more welcoming and comfortable space for all. With its enhanced facilities and renewed commitment to serving the community, is now a thriving hub of knowledge, creativity, and connection.
