Visiting Libraries in Oman

Ayub Khan, our Director was recently invited to Muscat, Oman to deliver a workshop to Library Professionals from the Mina Region. Whilst there he also took the opportunity to visit a number of libraries within the local area.

He had an opportunity to visit The Grand Mosque, which also had an impressive library within the complex, one which was open to all citizens. Ayub visited the Opera house, again, an impressive building which had a very vibrant music library attached to it!

As well, as visiting the University Library, the highlight of the visit was a trip to the Children’s Public Library in Oman, which was a dedicated children's library for local residents funded by a foundation.
