£951,000 for the extension and refurbishment of the archive and special collections areas. 35 kilometres of shelving; archive reading room and conservation laboratory; new printed special collections area; 9 group study rooms; 2 small group IT training rooms; 238 data points for laptop access; new loans and reserve area; student study facilities including consultation rooms, group teaching room, internet cafe, and language support area; staffed cafeteria; exhibition area, gallery and display space.
