Description
Description
The Library was designed to fit a previously derelict area to the rear of the Council offices. Site was particularly challenging being a restricted town centre backland site. Building made of traditional brick walls and slate roofs. Greater accessibility (from previous site) supported by comments from readers able to choose their own books for the first time in years. Kinderbox end panels designed and made as a project for children with special needs at a local school. Readers brought own plants for the library garden.
