Brynmawr Library

The project is a refurbishment of the building which had endeavoured to use every available space with little regard to the look and feel of the library. The project has given the building a more contemporary look making it a far more welcoming and attractive space.

The library has a higher physical profile through improved external works including disabled access. Disabled toilet facilities were also added.

Access to staff and services has been enhanced through improved internal guiding, flexibility of space, improved lighting and furnishings.

A considerable reduction in counter size and location plus RFID self service units supplied by Intellident offers other service benefits through the release of staff time to devote to customer service

Access for young people and younger children and babies has been improved by making the space more flexible, attractive and relevant to their needs.
