Description
Description
Situated on the first floor of a privately owned local shopping centre. The entire border with the atrium space and entrance front was opened up and glazed, with a large flat plasma screen displaying library, city council and community information.
The interior layout is dictated by having the information desk at its midpoint - the library is in the shape of an L.
Furniture layout designed so it is possible to keep surveillance on the entire space from the information desk. Shelving deliberately not placed in traditional rows, but radiating.
Waste is disposed of through recycling facilities in the shopping centre.
