All Library Services, extension of social learning provision pioneered in the Learning Cafe Real@Caledonian, and one stop shop for all services for students

Features a 600 seat ground floor services mall of 2,500 sq metres, 9 metres high. This is multi purpose space including learning cafe, one stop shop and conversational group work study space. Other floors have discrete environments acknowledging the wide range of learner needs and the ways in which individual learner needs might change over time. Top floor silent study space. Building makes use of bespoke structures for provision of services and semi-private spaces. Great attention has been paid to detailed interior design of graphics, colours, signage to create a range of environments with different look and feel and with different behavioural impacts. Overall concepts are student centredness, open flexible space, integrated service provision, and provision of a range of inspirational environments
