General view
Description
Description
Designed specifically to provide a dramatic, exciting and positive space, by using strong bold colours and quality design in furniture and fittings.
Part of a larger development which includes a Safeway's and an Ibis Hotel. The development makes use of brick and reconstituted stone work, on a steel frame. The exterior area is pedestrianised, with trees, historic and modern public art and monuments.
Interior design was by Faulkner Browns who used colour and layout to delineate areas and making use of features more usually found in retail outlets.
Also houses the Borough's Archive and Local Studies Library.
