Description
Description
South Shields Central is a 1970s purpose built library with separate departments spread over two floors. Refurbishment of some areas of the library has taken place on a rolling programme over the past three years
The Central Lending Library was refurbished in the Spring of 2005 following a bookshop approach to create a quick reads entrance and interest areas in the main stock.
People's Network access was enhanced with nine new terminals to complement those already in the building.
