A new welcoming public library and community space to accomodate all ages
WF Education is delighted to have been involved in the ‘next chapter’ of Treorchy Library’s history. The development of this community Hub makes use of two cultural assets – the theatre and the library, to create a more modern and flexible space which can hold a wide range of events and activities.
The Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough carried out extensive works to improve the facility and make the space more accessible to more users.
To expand the visitor experience and additional opportunities for revenue generation the project also included the addition of a multi-purpose gallery and exhibitions space.
The main lending library was completely remodelled to improve the user experience, along with the relocation and new design layout of the popular children’s area, accommodating a raised platform that can be used as a performance and storytelling space.
