CILIP is the UK's library and information association
It aims to promote the value of libraries, information services and knowledge management, and to support the professional development of its members. The Designing Libraries web site is a collaborative project between CILIP, the Society of Chief Librarians and Cardiff University.
It provides a database of library building projects, a collection of best practices and design guidelines, and a showcase of innovative library design ideas.
The partnership
The relationship between CILIP and the Designing Libraries web site is one of partnership and mutual support
CILIP contributes to the content and maintenance of the web site, as well as promoting it to its members and the wider library community.
