Site in town centre, djoining a car park, Grade 2 building and landscaped conservation area. It is adjacent to the council's Information and Tourist Centre, and the Crown Court, helping to establish a civic core.

Distinctive recessed entrance area. Ornamental gates (in shape of a book) and striking exterior guiding. Ground floor development with lighting that is flicker free and mimics daylight and customised end panels to shelving.
