Description
Description
The library is in a converted 18th century church building. Access was difficult as the building is surrounced by burial grounds. By careful survey it was possible to thread a path to the western boundary and create a new entrance there.
A new stained glass window was specially commissioned for the interior and provides colour and light for the children's area.
An extended gallery was installed to accommodate computer stations. Furniture and shelving was chosen to blend in with the architecture of the original building.
