Description

Description

The Library was moved to the first floor of Fishguard Town Hall in 1997. The Town Hall was extended and converted and the libary was designed by Opening the Book. Library staff also run and administer a small art gallery and the Last Invasion Tapestry gallery. The tapestry is 100 feet long. It was designed and stitched by about 75 local women to commemorate the bi-centenary of the last invasion of Britain when a French force landed on the coast near Fishguard in 1797.
