The new library forms part of a town centre development project. Housed in a listed 19th Century Glove Factory, the Library shares the premises with the Town Council and Doctor's Surgery.
Accessed by lift, as it is on the first floor, the library is fully DDA compliant.
The £800,000 cost is for the whole building of which the library covers 20% of the floorspace.
