Description

Description

Although housed in a stand-alone building, the library forms part of a complex which include the Town Cuoncil Offices, Day Centre and Local Authority houses.

The front facing wall stands immediately along the line of the old City wall, and it's narrow gable was a challenge in a creating a streetside presence.

Two floors were necessary, but due to the difficulties of staffing it was decided to build a mezzanine.
