New library in Turks & Caicos

Children at the Oseta Jolly Primary School in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos, are today enjoying a brand new, state-of-the-art school library, thanks to Peters and the generosity of a local holiday resort.

The development, named 'Peaceful Place', was funded by Amanyara Resorts as part of their community projects programme, and utilises a wealth of Peters' furniture and rugs. The Birmingham-based company also supplied books to go on the shelves, and even the signage.

Peters Librarian Catherine Mackenzie was the lucky member of staff tasked with attending the opening ceremony - she flew out to the Caribbean to meet with various dignitaries, including local politicians and media figures. The event was also covered in the local press and TV. You can see her photos via the link on the right.
