Bullwell and Riverside

A joint service library

This public library was relocated as part of a £23 million project to provide a new joint service centre that brings together Nottingham City Council, NHS Nottingham City and City Homes all under one roof.

The challenge was to design shelving and furniture solutions that would complement and accentuate the internal curved lines that run through the space, defined by the ceiling, flooring and lighting.

Curved Reflection shelving offered a contemporary and versatile solution. Various heights of shelving helped to maintain sight lines whilst successfully defining each of the key areas of the library.

Stand alone Freedom display units give the customer an opportunity to engage immediately. Reflection end panels were tailored for this space and used to provide additional display space and create definite themed areas.

Bespoke IT stations were installed in the teenage and children's areas.
