The report, in the Bradford Telegraph & Argus, confirms that a new library, to be known as the City Library, will be created in refurbished properties adjacent to City Park and Centenary Square.

The former Central Library has structural problems. The council plans to carry out work to convert the building into council offices and conference space.

The new library facilities in a 'modern, light, airy space' will house 60,000 books and benefit from modern technology. It is due to open in December.
