First bookless public library to open this year

By the end of 2013 San Antonio, Texas, will be home to the BiblioTech, the country's first bookless public library.

16 January 2013

Instead of rows of books there will be aisles of computers and gadgets, with e-readers available for loan, and laptops and tablets for use onsite.

The library, a real bricks and mortar place, will be partnering with e-book providers to allow users to access some 10,000 titles.

It's free - unless you want to print out anything onto paper...
