York archive concept

York's 'Gateway to History' project, which now has planning permission to go ahead, will refurbish the first floor of York Explore Library Learning Centre to become the new home for York's archives, including a new archive storage vault built to 21st century conservation standards.

Bisset Adams, who have an impressive history of successful architectural and design projects for libraries, created the concept for a new archive storage and customer facility. See link to earlier report below for more information about the project.
