The new Bodleian building in Oxford is currently undergoing major restoration and renovation and will reopen as the Weston Library in 2015.

Following a competitive tendering process, Forster Ecospace has been awarded a contract by Mace, the main contractor for the project, for the supply and installation of mobile and static shelving together with plan chests and picture racking.

Said Richard Ryan, Director of Forster Ecospace: "We are extremely pleased to have been awarded this major contract since one of the key aims of the renovation project is to create high quality storage for the library's valuable special collections, which include rare and unique manuscripts, books and maps preserved in the Bodleian for the international world of scholarship.

"Having supplied shelving previously to the Bodleian as well as to many other academic libraries and archives throughout the UK, including the British Library, we believe that the award of this contract clearly demonstrates the high quality of the shelving systems that we supply.”
