Chris Banks looks back at the processes involved in achieving the vision for a new library and physical space.

Among the main considerations discussed are workflows, prioritising collections for open acccess shelving, the introduction of RFID and self-service, a more intuitive organisation of materials, planning, procurement, layout, sustainability, funding - and impact on users.

The two-page illustrated article is on page 6 of the online PDF of Panlibus Issue 25.
