IFLA issues second 2012 newsletter of the Section on Library Buildings and Equipment

The useful newsletter, written in the run-up to the IFLA Conference in Helsinki in August, has been released.

6 September 2012

The newsletter reports on the Section's midterm meeting held in Berlin, featuring a report on the Norman Foster designed library of the Free University of Berlin and some reflections on aesthetics and functionality arising out of visits to a number of German libraries.

The newsletter is well illustrated, with links to further photos and more background information.

There are also useful links to papers on post-occupancy evaluation. The Section is currently working on a survey of how libraries conduct post-occupancy evaluations of library buildings.
