Three ZOOM webinets, 50 minutes in length, are being held virtually in 2021.

The second webinet in the Library Design Matters! series, Outdoor Spaces as Key Library Assets is scheduled on May 6, 2021 at 3:00 pm EDT.

This session will showcase the exciting work of two leading architects, Marina Stankovic, Architekten BDA and Stephan Schuetz, gmp Gerkan, Marg & Partners, in conversation with Klaus Werner, Freie Universitat Berlin. Library projects from Europe and Asia will be presented: a new library building and campus in a biodiverse setting in Laos and a transformed 1970s building in urban Berlin. The first webinet in the series, Reboot: The New Narrative, was held on March 25, 2021 and presented the views of three library leaders; Carolyn Robertson (New Zealand), Cathal McCauley (Ireland), and Ton van Vlimmeren (Netherlands) on the future of library space design and services. The session, hosted by Janine Schmidt (Australia) and Marian Morgan Bindon (Australia), is now available for viewing on the IFLA YouTube channel.
