Forms part of a larger centre which included a theatre and hall for hire. Designed by Edward Hollamby and won acclaim in professional journals for it's quintessential concrete, glass and steel sixties design.
The refurbishment has turned what was a stark, white minimalist unwelcoming box into a warm and inviting space. Courtyard area turned into a welcoming space with an artist and help from local community.
Library also contains Archive Cabinet and Memorial Book for WWII.
