For two years the Demco design, procurement and project management teams worked with contractors, designers, architects and suppliers.
The brief included designing, manufacturing and installing bespoke galvanised steel shelving clad entirely in oak, unique curved effect shelving for the music room, the much photographed facade benching, work stations, study furnishings, the BFI Mediatheque hubs, children’s areas, counters, pods, soft furnishings and the sourcing of many accessories.
Scott Grant, General Manager, Demco Interiors said: “A project as large as this has taken a huge commitment from our teams. Everyone has been involved in one way or another. It shows our capabilities in working with partners at the top level of library design. It is also testament to the scope of our capabilities that we managed to effortlessly absorb a project of this scale into our management with no impact on the rest of our core business.”
